Is it difficult for your child to connect new learning to previous learning? Is test-taking anxiety an adverse part of your child’s school experience? Does your child find it difficult to actively read, write, speak, and listen? The Public Libraries of Saginaw is teaming up with Felesia Harrel, owner of the College Bound Academic Learning Center in Saginaw, to help your child meet these challenges and become a “Master Student.”

Ms. Harrel was educated in the Saginaw Public Schools and received her Bachelor of Arts from Saginaw Valley State University. During her 17 years of experience in education, she has been inspired to not only find ways to help her children gain academic success, but to also help children in the Saginaw community.

The Public Libraries of Saginaw will offer two workshops, on “Learning Student Success” on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at our Butman-Fish Library.
High School Students (Grades 9-12) 10:00 am-12:00 noon
Middle School Students (Grades 6-8) 1:00-3:00 pm

Each workshop is limited to 25 students and pre-registration is required at 799-9160.
